Blooming of the Sakura Trees High Park Toronto

In 1959 the Japanese ambassador to Canada Toru-Hagiwara presented 2000 Japanese Somei-Yoshino
Sakura trees to the citizens of Toronto on behalf of citizens of Tokyo. The trees were planted in appreciation of Toronto accepting re-located Japanese-Canadians following the Second World War.
This is our local park and so lucky to have this in our neighbourhood 398 acres of land, gardens, ponds, sporting facilities, cafe, museum, and even has a zoo! I love it and its one of my favourite places to visit in Toronto.
