Great Stocking Fillers

My Favourite shop is Restoration Hardware and one day my dream of owning a house full of their furniture will come true!! In the mean time I've found these fab stocking fillers for my husband and cute hand cashmere hand warmers...that I could not resist!

Christmas Treats

Christmas treats! While on Mat leave I've been loving having the time to make & bake all while nibbling on some licorice all sorts & jelly beans!! recently I have made Rocky Road & White Christmas although the recipe I have is not as good as my Aunty Robby makes....it will do while being away from home. I'm not sure if its the Copha I'm missing you can't seem to get it in Canada so I'm using Crisco/shortening or the fruit mix?

My new winter accessories...

My Christmas pressie I have picked out & bought which will be from my husband (:

The Lushious Pomegranate

My Favourite Fruit at the moment : Pomegranate
Origin: The pomegranate is native from Iran to the Himalayas in northern India and was cultivated and naturalized over the whole Mediterranean region since ancient times. It is widely cultivated throughout India and the drier parts of southeast Asia, Malaya, the East Indies and tropical Africa. The tree was introduced into California by Spanish settlers in 1769.

Roses & Tulips

A beautiful surprise from my husband today a lovely bouquet of flowers

I Am the Walrus

Well I finally did my Christmas Shopping, since its just the two of us here its not that hard but in my state at the moment spending an afternoon shopping is a hindrance not a joy as it once was. I did however find a fabulous shirt for my husband! This is his favourite Beatles song and I was so excited with this little find! I love love love this shirt & I'm sure he will too, only problem is its a Medium & it was the last one! Worse case scenario I will gain a new shirt!! (:

Nesting Mumma

I'm loving being on Mat Leave and being able to plan my day with baking, sewing, painting & preparing for the new event of being a new mummy plus finding new & exciting blogs. Along with the cold weather we are having lately & considering how slow at waddling I am these days, I much prefer to stay in doors! This is my attempt at baking bread without a bread machine I followed this recipe http://www.instructables.com/id/How-To-Make-Bread-without-a-bread-machine/ but did not have the correct flour I used all purpose flour and they didn't seem to rise as much as they should but they tasted delicious and my next attempt will be with Bread Flour.
