Save High Park Zoo..

High Park Zoo in 1908
Our local Park is one of our favourite places to visit ....399 acres in the middle of Toronto, There are many designated children's playgrounds, sports facilities, picnic areas, hiking trails, large green spaces, waterfront trails, benches galore & an amazing mini zoo. Sadly the High Park Zoo which is enjoyed by so many will be closing due to budget cuts in June. This delightful 110-year-old west-end zoo has stayed open through two world wars & the Great Depression & has eight animal pens that house nine or ten species including bison, yak, mountain sheep, peacocks, Emus, Wallabies and llamas. The zoo is FREE to the public & attracts over 100,000 visitors each year.http://torontoparksandtrees.org/high-park-zoo
